Tips:

  • Choose the right bacon: Thick-cut bacon works best for this recipe as it can withstand the heat and hold the glaze better.
  • Preheat your oven: This helps the bacon cook evenly and prevents it from becoming soggy.
  • Line your baking sheet: This makes cleanup easier and prevents the bacon from sticking to the pan.
  • Don't overcrowd the baking sheet: Give the bacon enough space so that it can cook evenly.
  • Flip the bacon halfway through cooking: This ensures that both sides of the bacon are cooked evenly.
  • Make the glaze ahead of time: This gives the flavors time to meld and develop.
  • Brush the glaze on the bacon in the last few minutes of cooking: This helps the glaze caramelize and gives the bacon a delicious crispy coating.
  • Let the bacon cool slightly before serving: This makes it easier to handle and prevents it from falling apart.
