Tips:

  • Use a flavorful marinade: The marinade is what gives the chicken and potatoes their delicious flavor, so make sure to use a flavorful one. Some good options include a mixture of olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and herbs, or a barbecue sauce-based marinade.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When baking the chicken and potatoes, make sure not to overcrowd the pan. This will prevent them from cooking evenly and will make them more likely to stick to the pan.
  • Roast the chicken and potatoes at a high temperature: Roasting the chicken and potatoes at a high temperature will help to caramelize the marinade and give them a nice crispy exterior. Aim for a temperature of around 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Use a roasting rack: Using a roasting rack will help to elevate the chicken and potatoes from the bottom of the pan, which will allow the air to circulate around them and help them to cook more evenly.
  • Baste the chicken and potatoes with the marinade: Basting the chicken and potatoes with the marinade during cooking will help to keep them moist and flavorful. You can do this every 15-20 minutes.

Conclusion:

Oven-barbecued chicken and potatoes is a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for a weeknight dinner or a weekend gathering. By following these tips, you can make sure that your chicken and potatoes turn out perfectly cooked and flavorful every time.
