Time 15m

Yield 1 serving

Number Of Ingredients 4

4 ounces whole peanut butter
2 slices Texas Toast or 1/2-inch-thick bread
1 whole ripe banana
4 ounces whole butter

Steps:

  • Spread peanut butter side to side, evenly on 1 side of each piece of bread. Slice banana in 3/4-inch slices and place on 1 piece of bread with peanut butter. Banana slices should be close together, and cover 1 side completely (usually 9 slices). Top with the other slice of bread.

I love a good, fast recipe that is pretty much fail-proof, and turns out perfectly every time. It's rare to come by, but this recipe is exactly that. It is simple, delicious, and so easy to throw together.

Time 1h12m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 cup butter (melted)
2 cups graham cracker crumbs ((use the boxed kind, or grind them in a food processor. Tiny granules.))
2 cups powdered sugar
1¼ cups peanut butter (divided)
1½ cups milk chocolate chips

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, mix together the melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, and 1 cup peanut butter until well blended.
  • Press evenly into the bottom of an ungreased 9 × 13 inch pan. (I did mine in a 9 X 9 inch square pan because I wanted them to be thicker)
  • In the microwave, melt the chocolate chips with the peanut butter, stirring every 30 seconds until melted until smooth. Spread over the peanut butter layer.
  • Refrigerate for at least one hour before cutting into squares.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe bananas: The riper the bananas, the sweeter and more flavorful your sandwiches will be.
  • Use creamy peanut butter: Creamy peanut butter will spread more easily and evenly than crunchy peanut butter.
  • If your bread is too thick, slice it in half horizontally to make it easier to eat.
  • Get creative with your toppings: In addition to peanut butter and bananas, you can add honey, jelly, Nutella, or sliced strawberries to your sandwiches.
  • Pack your sandwiches in a lunch box or cooler with an ice pack if you're taking them on the go.

Conclusion:

Peanut butter and banana teddy bear sandwiches are a fun and easy snack or lunch option for kids and adults alike. They're packed with protein, fiber, and healthy fats, and they're also a good source of potassium and vitamin C. Plus, they're just plain delicious! So next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal, give these teddy bear sandwiches a try.
