Categories     Chocolate

Yield 32 bars

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 (18 ounce) boxes devil's food cake mix
1/2 cup butter, melted
2/3 cup milk, cold
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1 (7 ounce) jars marshmallow creme
1/2 cup salted peanuts
6 semi-sweet chocolate king squares, coarsely chopped, Baker's brand

Steps:

  • -Preheat oven to 350 degrees. -Mix dry cake mix, butter and 1/3 cup milk until blended; press 2/3 onto bottom of 13 x 9-inch pan. -Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until center is almost set; cool 3 minutes. -Mix peanut butter and remaining milk; spread onto crust. -Top with spoonfuls of marshmallow creme and remaining cake mixture. -Sprinkle with nuts and chocolate; press gently into cake mixture. -Bake 18 minutes or just until center is set. -Cool before cutting

Tips:

  • Use fresh marshmallows: Fresh marshmallows will give your bars a soft and fluffy texture. If you use old marshmallows, they may be hard and chewy.
  • Do not overcook the sugar mixture: The sugar mixture should be cooked until it reaches the soft-ball stage. If you overcook it, the bars will be hard and brittle.
  • Do not stir the marshmallow mixture too much: Stirring the marshmallow mixture too much will cause it to lose its volume. Stir it just enough to combine the ingredients.
  • Chill the bars before cutting them: Chilling the bars before cutting them will help them to hold their shape. Cut the bars with a sharp knife so that they do not crumble.
  • Store the bars in an airtight container: Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. You can also store them in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Conclusion:

Peanut Mallow Bars are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. They are a great way to use up leftover marshmallows and peanuts, and they are always a hit with kids and adults alike. If you are looking for a fun and festive way to celebrate any occasion, give Peanut Mallow Bars a try. You won't be disappointed!
