Tips:

  • Use high-quality cocoa powder: The cocoa powder is the main flavoring ingredient in this mix, so it's important to use a good quality one. Look for a cocoa powder that is labeled "Dutch-processed" or "alkalized." This type of cocoa powder has a darker color and a smoother, less bitter flavor.
  • Add a touch of salt: A little bit of salt can help to balance out the sweetness of the cocoa mix. Add about 1/4 teaspoon of salt to the recipe.
  • Use a variety of sugar: This recipe calls for a combination of granulated sugar and brown sugar. The granulated sugar provides sweetness, while the brown sugar adds a touch of molasses flavor. You can also use all granulated sugar or all brown sugar, depending on your preference.
  • Add some spices: To add a little bit of extra flavor, you can add some spices to the cocoa mix. Some good options include cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Add about 1/2 teaspoon of each spice to the recipe.
  • Use milk or water: You can make this cocoa mix with either milk or water. If you use milk, it will make the cocoa mix richer and creamier. If you use water, it will be lighter and less caloric.

Conclusion:

This peanutty hot cocoa mix is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for a cold winter day. It's also a great way to use up any leftover peanut butter. With a few simple ingredients, you can make a delicious and comforting drink that the whole family will enjoy.
