Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients. The better the chocolate and pecans you use, the better your candies will taste. Look for chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 70%.
  • Toast the pecans. Toasting the pecans will bring out their flavor and make them more fragrant. You can toast them in a preheated oven at 350°F for 10-12 minutes, or in a skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Use a candy thermometer. A candy thermometer is essential for making pecan chocolate candies. It will help you ensure that the chocolate reaches the correct temperature, which is important for achieving the right consistency.
  • Be patient. Making pecan chocolate candies takes time and patience. Don't rush the process, or you'll end up with candies that are too hard or too soft.
  • Store the candies properly. Pecan chocolate candies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks. You can also store them in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks, or in the freezer for up to 6 months.
