BERGWOOD PIGGY POPPERS

Categories     Pepper

Yield 12 Bergwood Poppers

Number Of Ingredients 3

12 jalapeno peppers
12 slices bacon (uncooked)
1 12 oz. package cream cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Cut off tops of peppers (do not discard top) 2. Dig out seeds and veins 3. Fill peppers with cream cheese 4. Put top back on pepper 5. Wrap bacon around pepper 6. Grill until bacon is crunchy 7. Serve with frosty beverage of choice

Tips:

  • Choose the right sausage. Italian sausage is a popular choice, but you can use any type of sausage you like. Just make sure it's fully cooked before wrapping it in wonton wrappers.
  • Season the sausage well. You can use a variety of seasonings to flavor the sausage, such as garlic, onion, salt, and pepper. You can also add some chopped fresh herbs, such as basil or oregano.
  • Use wonton wrappers that are large enough to wrap around the sausage. You can find wonton wrappers in most grocery stores in the Asian food section.
  • Be careful not to overfill the wonton wrappers. If you put too much sausage in each wrapper, it will be difficult to seal them properly.
  • Seal the wonton wrappers tightly. You can use a fork to crimp the edges of the wrappers or you can use a wonton wrapper press.
  • Cook the piggy poppers until they are golden brown. You can fry them, bake them, or air fry them. Just make sure they are cooked through before serving.

Conclusion:

Piggy poppers are a fun and easy appetizer that is perfect for parties or game day. They are also a great way to use up leftover sausage. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can make a delicious and crowd-pleasing snack that everyone will love.
