MANGO-PINEAPPLE SMOOTHIE

Mango-Pineapple Smoothie image

I invented this one day when I had leftover mango and pineapple juice. A spoonful of cream of coconut added the sweetness and special flavor with a tropical flare. You may use frozen pineapple juice ice cubes instead for more of a slush drink (about 8 pineapple ice cubes). Enjoy!

PINEAPPLE, ORANGE, MANGO, BANANA SMOOTHIE

Pineapple, Orange, Mango, Banana Smoothie image

I make this delkcious smoothie every single morning, and not only is it an extremely healthy way to start the day but it's also very quick & simple to make! The added protein powder replaces any high-calorie protein that you might normally have on the morning (eggs, bacon, sausage, etc) and it will help keep you full longer than if it were just a pure fruit smoothie. I buy the frozen pineapple and mango chunks from Costco, and each week I buy a bunch of ripe bananas and peel them, cut them in half and throw them in a bag in the freezer. Then it takes me less than 5 mins to make it in the morning. And this has also replaced my morning coffee habit of 2 cups a day because I add 1/8 tsp of caffeine powder to it as well.

Time 4m

Yield 1 Smoothie, 1 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup coconut water
1/2 banana, frozen, chopped
2/3 cup frozen pineapple chunks
2/3 cup frozen mango chunks
1 tablespoon unsweetened flaked coconut or 1 tablespoon unsweetened dried shredded coconut
1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder

Steps:

  • Put orange juice and coconut juice in the blender
  • Add the protein powder & coconut.
  • Add all of the fruit.
  • Blend on high until desired consistency is reached, usually about 40-60 seconds depending on your blender. If it's still too thick after about 30 seconds add a splash more of liquid (water, OJ or coconut water).

Tips:

  • For a creamier smoothie, use frozen fruit instead of fresh fruit.
  • If you don't have almond milk, you can use regular milk or water.
  • Add a scoop of protein powder to the smoothie for a boost of protein.
  • Top the smoothie with fresh fruit, granola, or nuts for extra flavor and crunch.
  • If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more almond milk or water until it reaches the desired consistency.
  • For a sweeter smoothie, add a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup.
  • If you want a more tart smoothie, add a squeeze of lemon or lime juice.
  • You can also add a tablespoon of chia seeds or flaxseed to the smoothie for a boost of fiber and nutrients.

Conclusion:

This pineapple, mango, and banana smoothie is a delicious and refreshing way to start your day or refuel after a workout. It's packed with nutrients and antioxidants, and it's a great source of energy. So next time you're looking for a healthy and satisfying breakfast or snack, give this smoothie a try.
