VEGGIE AND PEPPERONI PIZZA

Veggie and Pepperoni Pizza image

I am searching for a healthier pizza, and this is my first step towards one. I plan on using turkey pepperoni and a whole wheat crust in the future, but this pizza turned out really well. My family really liked it. I recommend the pizza sauce that I posted as a separate recipe for this pizza because it throws in some extra veggies in the sauce.

1 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
1 teaspoon dried basil, crushed
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon sugar
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
3 ¼ cups all-purpose flour, or more as needed
2 (.25 ounce) envelopes FLEISCHMANN'S® Pizza Crust Yeast or RapidRise® Yeast
1 tablespoon sugar

  • For pizzas: Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Top crusts with sauce, pepperoni and cheese.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: This will make a big difference in the taste of your pizza.
  • Don't overcrowd the pizza: Too many toppings will make the pizza soggy.
  • Bake the pizza at a high temperature: This will help the crust get crispy.
  • Use a pizza stone or baking sheet: This will help the pizza cook evenly.
  • Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing: This will help the cheese set and prevent the toppings from falling off.

Conclusion:

No matter what your favorite toppings are, there's a pizza recipe out there for you. With a little practice, you can make delicious pizza at home that's even better than takeout. So get creative and have fun with it!
