ALMOND PUDDING

Almond Pudding image

This is a milk pudding that is served in India at open houses or for dessert. To keep a "skin" from forming on the top of the pudding while it is cooling, carefully place a piece of clear plastic wrap or waxed paper directly on the surface of the hot pudding. After the pudding has cooled, remove the paper and spoon the pudding into dessert dishes. Chilling time is not included in cooking or prep time.

Tips:

  • To make the almond frangipane, use a food processor to combine the ingredients until smooth. This will help to ensure that the frangipane is evenly mixed and has a consistent texture.
  • When filling the puff pastry cases with the frangipane, be careful not to overfill them. Otherwise, the frangipane will spill out during baking.
  • Bake the plum and almond puddings in a preheated oven. This will help to ensure that the puddings cook evenly.
  • Keep an eye on the puddings while they are baking. If they start to brown too quickly, cover them with a piece of aluminum foil.
  • Let the puddings cool completely before serving. This will help to prevent them from falling apart.

Conclusion:

Plum and almond puddings are a delicious and elegant dessert that is perfect for any occasion. They are easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. Whether you prefer a classic plum pudding or a more modern twist, these puddings are sure to please everyone at your table.
