Tips:

  • Use ripe bananas: The riper the bananas, the sweeter and more flavorful your Polka Dater bars will be.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing can make the bars tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the bars until they are just set: Overbaking can make the bars dry. Bake them until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs attached.
  • Let the bars cool completely before cutting them: This will help to prevent them from crumbling.
  • Serve the bars at room temperature or chilled: They are delicious either way.

Conclusion:

Polka Dater bars are a classic dessert that is easy to make and always a hit. With their sweet and chewy crust, creamy filling, and crunchy streusel topping, they are sure to please everyone at your next gathering. So next time you are looking for a delicious and easy dessert, give Polka Dater bars a try. You won't be disappointed!
