Tips:

  • Use a food processor or blender to grind the oats into a fine flour. This will help the cookies have a smooth and even texture.
  • If you don't have a food processor or blender, you can also use a rolling pin to crush the oats into a fine powder. Just be sure to roll them out until they are very fine, otherwise the cookies will be gritty.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the cookies tough. Just mix until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the cookies at a low temperature. This will help them bake evenly without burning.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before enjoying them. This will help them firm up and develop their full flavor.

Conclusion:

These poor man's peanut butter cookies are a delicious and affordable treat that are perfect for any occasion. They are easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. Whether you like them chewy or crispy, these cookies are sure to be a hit. So next time you're looking for a sweet snack, give these cookies a try. You won't be disappointed!
