1 Cup Shortening
1/2 Cup Butter or Margarine
2 tsp. Baking Ammonia (Ammonium Carbonate)
2 Cups Sugar
2-1/2 Cups Flour
1 Cup Coconut
Powdered Sugar for dusting

Steps:

  • Crush the Ammonium (if not powdered) between two pieces of waxed paper, avoid inhaling. Cream shortening and butter together, add ammonium and sugar. Mix until well blended. Add the flour, a little bit at a time. Stir in coconut. Chill dough in bowl for at least one hour. Preheat oven to 325. Form dough into small balls (about 1 inch big) and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 for 20-25 minutes, or until lightly brown. Roll on powdered sugar while they are still warm. Enjoy!

1/2 cup sugar
2 cups flour
2 egg yolks
2 egg whites
1 1/2-2 cups pecans, chopped
raspberry preserves

Steps:

  • Cream butter and sugar together.
  • Add flour and egg yolks. Beat 1 minute.
  • Chill.
  • Shape into balls. Dip in egg whites and roll in chopped pecans.
  • Flatten on a cookie sheet and press thumb in center of each cookie. Fill indentation with jam.
  • Cook at 350 for 8-10 minutes.

2 large eggs
½ cup vegetable oil
¼ cup water
1 ¼ cups chocolate-covered toffee bits, divided
1 (16 ounce) can Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Frosting Starter
1 (3 gram) packet Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Caramel Flavour Mix

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and spray a mini-muffin pan with cooking spray.
  • Prepare brownie batter as directed on package. Mix 1 cup of toffee bits into batter.
  • Spoon brownie batter into muffin tin, filling about two-thirds full.
  • Bake for 10 to 15 minutes. Cool completely.
  • Pour packet of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Caramel Flavour Mix into can of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Frosting Starter. Stir until evenly blended.
