Pull Apart Pepperoni Pizza Bread (Monkey Pizza) image

From Sweet & Simple Living website, your kids will love this savory twist on Monkey Bread. Made in a Bundt pan (half the recipe), it is a beautiful appetizer served with warmed pizza sauce in the center in a ramekin. I usually make half of the recipe to serve 4 with some leftovers as a main dish with a side salad.

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 loaves frozen bread dough, thawed
1 cup brown sugar
1 package vanilla or butterscotch pudding (not instant)
1 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup butter, melted

Steps:

  • Cut thawed bread dough into bite-sized pieces. Roll into balls and place half in a greased bundt pan. Mix brown sugar, pudding, and nuts together, then sprinkle half the mixture over the dough in the bundt pan. Add remaining dough balls to bundt pan and sprinkle with remaining nut mixture. Let rise until contents fill the pan, or refrigerate overnight to rise. Once risen, pour melted butter overtop. Bake at 350°F for 20 to 30 minutes.

Tips for Making the Perfect Pull-Apart Bread:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients for the best flavor and texture.
  • Activate the yeast in warm water before adding it to the dough. This will help ensure that the yeast is active and will cause the dough to rise properly.
  • Knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic. This will help develop the gluten in the dough, which will give the bread a chewy texture.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size. This will give the yeast time to produce carbon dioxide, which will cause the dough to rise.
  • Shape the dough into balls or other desired shapes. Place the dough balls in a greased pan, leaving space between them for rising.
  • Let the dough rise again until it has doubled in size. This will ensure that the bread is light and fluffy.
  • Bake the bread in a preheated oven until it is golden brown. The baking time will vary depending on the size and shape of the bread.
  • Let the bread cool slightly before serving. This will make it easier to pull apart and enjoy.

Conclusion:

Pull-apart bread is a delicious and versatile bread that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It is perfect for parties, potlucks, and picnics. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can easily make your own pull-apart bread at home. So what are you waiting for? Give it a try!
