EASY CHOCOLATE SAUCE

Easy Chocolate Sauce image

I love ice cream with some kind of sauce on it. Call me weird LOL! This is a really good sauce and it's one of my favorite go-to sauces. I found this years ago on the web. Be sure you don't use semi-sweet, it's no good in this recipe. It's been awhile since I made this, I can't remember exactly how much it made. I did the 2oz, then truffles, then I think I made the 3oz. If you make this, please post how much, if you please.

Provided by FLUFFSTER

Categories     Candy

Time 25m

Yield 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 3

2 -3 ounces unsweetened chocolate
1 (14 ounce) can condensed milk (not evaporated)
1 teaspoon vanilla (if you go for the 3 oz. you may want to add a little more.)

Steps:

  • Carefully melt the chocolate in the condensed milk, and bring to a boil. Boil gently for a minute. Then add the vanilla. You can also add peanut butter (just a big spoonful or, no big deal) if desired. I prefer the 2oz. of chocolate, but you may want the 3oz.
  • Thin with regular milk, if you need to.
  • You may like to use a different extract, such as almond or maple, or which ever. It's really cool to make truffles out of this after it cools a little.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality chocolate: The better the chocolate, the better the sauce. Use a chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 70%.
  • Don't overheat the chocolate: Overheating the chocolate will cause it to seize and become grainy. Heat the chocolate slowly and gently, stirring constantly.
  • Add flavorings: You can add a variety of flavorings to your chocolate sauce, such as vanilla extract, cinnamon, or even chili powder. Get creative and experiment with different flavors.
  • Use the right consistency: The consistency of your chocolate sauce will depend on how you plan to use it. If you want a thick, rich sauce for dipping, use less milk or cream. If you want a thinner sauce for drizzling, use more milk or cream.

Conclusion:

Chocolate sauce is a versatile and delicious topping that can be used on a variety of desserts, from ice cream to cake to fruit. It's also a great way to add a touch of sweetness to your favorite beverages, such as coffee or milk. With just a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can make your own delicious chocolate sauce at home. So next time you're craving something sweet, give one of these recipes a try.
