3 tablespoons olive oil
1 slice firm tofu, cubed
½ green bell pepper, chopped
¼ small onion, chopped
⅓ cup plum sauce

Tips:

  • Choosing the Right Tofu: For a stir-fry, use extra-firm or firm tofu, as they hold their shape better.
  • Pressing Tofu: Press out excess water from the tofu before cooking. This helps it absorb more flavor and become crispier.
  • Marinating Tofu: Marinate the tofu for at least 30 minutes before cooking. This infuses it with flavor and makes it more tender.
  • Cooking Tofu: Cook the tofu over medium-high heat until it's golden brown and crispy on the outside. Use a non-stick pan to prevent sticking.
  • Adding Vegetables: Choose vegetables that cook quickly, such as broccoli, bell peppers, and carrots. Add them to the stir-fry towards the end of cooking to maintain their crispness.
  • Sauce: Use a simple sauce made with soy sauce, rice vinegar, and ginger. You can also add other ingredients like honey, garlic, or sesame oil for extra flavor.

Conclusion:

A tofu stir-fry is a quick, easy, and delicious meal that's packed with flavor and nutrition. It's a great way to use up leftover tofu and vegetables, and it's also a healthy and affordable option for busy weeknights. With a few simple tips, you can create a flavorful and satisfying tofu stir-fry that the whole family will enjoy.
