3 ounces green jello (lime)
3 ounces blue jello

Steps:

  • Prepare purple (or whatever color you want on the bottom) jello as directed, using the "quick chill" method, meaning add some ice.

Tips:

  • Choose the Right Jell-O Flavors: Opt for complementary flavors that blend well together like lemon-lime, strawberry-banana, orange-pineapple, or grape-blueberry.
  • Use Clear Jell-O: Clear Jell-O allows the colors to shine through more vibrantly, creating a more striking rainbow effect.
  • Chill Each Layer Thoroughly: Make sure each layer is completely chilled and set before adding the next one. This prevents the layers from mixing and ensures a clean, defined rainbow pattern.
  • Don't Overmix the Cool Whip: Overmixing can cause the Cool Whip to lose its fluffy texture and become runny. Gently fold it in until just combined.
  • Chill the Rainbow Jell-O Overnight: Allow the rainbow Jell-O to chill in the refrigerator overnight or for at least 4 hours before serving. This ensures that it is fully set and has developed its full flavor.

Conclusion:
