Provided by mytastytreasures

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 cup crushed cornflakes
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup prepared Ranch salad dressing
1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-
inch cubes
Additional Ranch dressing, or dipping sauce of your choice

Steps:

  • 1.In a shallow bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Place dressing in another bowl. Toss chicken cubes in dressing, then roll in the cornflake mixture. Place in a greased 11-in. x 7-in. x 2-in. baking pan. I used Pam spray. 2.Bake, uncovered, at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until juices run clear. Serve with additional dressing, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Tips:

  • Choose high-quality chicken: Opt for free-range or organic chicken breasts or tenders for the best flavor and texture.
  • Use a variety of breading options: Experiment with different breading options such as panko breadcrumbs, crushed cornflakes, or crackers for a crispy coating.
  • Season the breading: Add herbs, spices, or grated Parmesan cheese to the breading mixture for extra flavor.
  • Dip the chicken in buttermilk or yogurt: This helps the breading adhere to the chicken and results in a more tender and juicy nugget.
  • Double coat the chicken: Dip the chicken in the egg wash, then the breading mixture, then dip it in the egg wash again and coat it with breading a second time. This creates a thicker, crispier coating.
  • Fry the chicken at the right temperature: Maintain the oil temperature between 350°F and 375°F to ensure that the chicken cooks evenly without burning.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: Fry the chicken in batches to prevent the oil temperature from dropping and the chicken from becoming soggy.
  • Drain the chicken on paper towels: After frying, place the chicken nuggets on paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce: Ranch dressing, honey mustard, or barbecue sauce are all great options.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, ranch chicken nuggets are a delicious and versatile snack or meal that can be easily made at home with simple ingredients. By following these tips, you can create crispy, juicy, and flavorful chicken nuggets that are sure to be a hit with your family and friends. Experiment with different breading options and dipping sauces to find your favorite combination. Enjoy your homemade ranch chicken nuggets!
