RASPBERRY BLACK BEAN SALSA
Steps:
- Layer ingredients in order with onions on the bottom of a non-metallic ovenproof dish. I usually use a deep pie dish. Roll the cream cheese like a pie crust between two sheets of plastic wrap. (If you don't have a rolling pin a wine bottle works well). Lay the cream cheese a top the black beans and layer the rest. Bake till it gets hot, bubbly, and a little brown around the edges. Serve with tortilla chips
Here are three unique raspberry salsa tips for all cooks:
- Add fresh jalapeños and corn kernels. If desired, add jalapeños and corn kernels to the salsa to make it more flavorful. Jalapeños add a spicy kick to the salsa, while corn kernels add a sweet, crunchy texture.
- Substitute vinegar for citrus. Add a citrusy acidity to the salsa without using vinegar. Use freshly squeezed orange or grapefruit instead of vinegar. This will create a sweeter, more flavorful salsa.
- Incorporate fresh cilantro. Add a refreshing herby brightness to the salsa with fresh cilantro. Finish the salsa with a handful of freshly cut cilantro. The cilantro will provide a lovely color contrast with the raspberries.
Conclusion:
Raspberry salsa is a unique salsa recipe well worth making. Raspberies add a sweet-tart taste to the salsa that is very refreshing. This salsa is also relatively easy to prepare. The hardest part is hulling the raspberries if you don't have a gadget to simplify the process. Raspberry salsa can be a side dish at your next party or an ingredient in tacos, enchiladas, or other main course. Whatever the intended purpose of the salsa, know that the raspberry salsa will be a hit.
