I made these with baked potato soup and loved it. Great addition! I gave them to a friend and he said they tasted just like the ones at Red Lobster®. The recipe will yield more if made into smaller biscuits. They are best served fresh out of the oven.

Time 1h20m

Yield 2 dozen, 6-8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 11

3 1/2 cups Bisquick baking mix
8 tablespoons cold salted butter, cut into cubes
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
1 1/2 cups whole milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
8 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
1 teaspoon seasoned garlic salt
cooking spray

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the Bisquick, garlic powder and Old Bay Seasoning. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese. With a fork or pastry blender, cut in the cold salted butter until well incorporated and looks like coarse crumbs. Add milk and mix well. Spray baking sheets lightly with cooking spray. Using an ice cream scooper or large spoon, scoop out portions of dough at least 2 inches apart on the lightly greased baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • In the meantime prepare the topping. Using a microwave safe container, melt the unsalted butter together with the dried parsley flakes, Old Bay Seasoning and seasoned garlic salt on high power for about a minute, depending on your microwave.
  • Remove biscuits from oven and, using a pastry brush, coat the surface of the biscuits with some of the melted butter mixture. Return to oven to bake another 6-7 minutes. Remove from oven and brush with more of the melted butter mixture. Remove biscuits from pan to cooling wrack to cool slightly before serving or cool completely and store in airtight container in fridge.

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: Fresh cheddar cheese, butter, and buttermilk will give your biscuits the best flavor.
  • Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing will make the biscuits tough. Mix just until the dough comes together.
  • Chill the dough before baking: Chilling the dough will help the biscuits rise evenly.
  • Bake the biscuits until they are golden brown: The biscuits are done baking when they are golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Serve the biscuits warm: Red Lobster cheddar bay biscuits are best served warm, right out of the oven.

Conclusion:

Red Lobster cheddar bay biscuits are a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that is perfect for any occasion. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create these iconic biscuits at home. So next time you're craving Red Lobster, give this recipe a try!
