Number Of Ingredients 13

4 medium overripe bananas, mashed
1 egg
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups All Purpose flour
1 1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp salt
1 c. semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped Reese's peanut butter cups

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF. Whisk together the bananas, sugar, egg, oil, peanut butter, and vanilla until smooth. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet and just mix until batter forms. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and peanut butter cups, careful to not overmix. Line a 9x5 loaf pan with foil or parchment and lightly spray with non-stick cooking spray. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 55 minutes (start checking for done-ness at 45 minutes, cover the top with foil at that point if needed to prevent over-browning). Let cool before slicing.

1 egg
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt
8 ounce bag of Reese's mini cup

In a large bowl stir together your bananas, peanut butter, oil, egg and sugars. Pour your dry ingredients into your wet ingredients and stir until just combined. Batter will be lumpy but try not to over mix or it will change the texture! Fold in your Reese's Mini cups and spread batter into prepared pan. Bake for approximately 1 hour or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Keep an eye on the bread and if you notice the it browning too fast, lower the temperature down to 325°°F and loosely cover with foil or just cover it with foil. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then loosen the edges of the pan with a knife and remove from loaf pan, transferring bread to a cooling rack to cool completely before cutting into.

REESE'S PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE CHIP BANANA BREAD

Reese's Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Banana Bread image

This is the very best banana bread I have ever tasted! I took the recipe from a foodie blog http://thehungrydudes.com/reeces-pieces-chocolate-chip-banana-bread and the only difference I made is that I couldn't find mini reese's pieces so I used their peanut butter chips instead.

Categories     Breads

Time 1h5m

Yield 2 loaves, 18 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups bananas (over ripe and mashed)
3/4 cup chocolate chips
3/4 cup reese's peanut butter chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Line loaf pan with foil (makes clean up much easier).
  • In a bowl combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar.
  • Stir in eggs, vanilla, and mashed bananas until well blended.
  • Stir chips into wet mixture.
  • Stir banana mixture into flour mixture; stir by hand until it is mostly mixed. (This is important. Do not over-mix, or it will be dry and rubbery! It's ok to see flour spots here and there in the batter.).
  • Pour batter into loaf pan. Bake in oven for about 45 minutes (I only have one loaf pan so cooking time might vary if cooking two loaves at once).
  • Let bread cool for about 10 minutes, then remove from pan and let cool on wire rack.

Tips:

  • Choosing the Right Banana: Opt for overripe bananas with a few brown spots, as they offer a sweeter flavor and blend better into the batter.
  • Melted Butter vs. Oil: While melted butter adds a richer taste, oil keeps the banana bread moist and helps prevent it from becoming too dry.
  • Mixing the Batter: Avoid overmixing the batter, as this can result in dense and tough bread. Mix until the ingredients are just combined.
  • Baking the Banana Bread: Preheat the oven to the correct temperature and bake the bread in a well-greased loaf pan. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick; if it comes out clean, the bread is ready.
  • Cooling and Storing: Allow the bread to cool completely before slicing and serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Conclusion:

With its sweet, moist texture and irresistible peanut butter and chocolate combination, the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Banana Bread is a true delight. Whether you're a fan of classic banana bread or looking for a decadent twist, this recipe is sure to satisfy your cravings. So gather your ingredients, preheat your oven, and embark on a baking journey that will leave you and your loved ones wanting more!
