Tips:

  • Mise en place: Before you start cooking, make sure you have all of your ingredients and equipment ready. This will help you stay organized and avoid any scrambling.
  • Choose the right salmon: Look for wild-caught salmon that is firm and has a bright pink color. Avoid farmed salmon, which is often less flavorful and has a higher fat content.
  • Cook the salmon to perfection: Salmon is best cooked to medium-rare or medium, so that it is still slightly pink in the center. Overcooked salmon will be dry and tough.
  • Use fresh herbs and vegetables: Fresh herbs and vegetables will add flavor and color to your dish. If you don't have fresh herbs on hand, you can use dried herbs, but be sure to use half the amount.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When roasting the vegetables, make sure you don't overcrowd the pan. This will prevent them from cooking evenly.
  • Season the vegetables well: Before roasting the vegetables, be sure to season them well with salt, pepper, and other herbs and spices. This will help them develop flavor.

Conclusion:

This roasted salmon with root vegetables is a delicious and healthy meal that is perfect for any occasion. The salmon is cooked to perfection and the vegetables are roasted until they are tender and flavorful. This dish is also easy to make and can be prepared in under an hour.
