ROSE-A-'RITA (COCKTAIL)

Rose-A-'Rita (cocktail) image

This is a Strawberry Margarita with a twist. Tequila Rose Liqueur is one of the ingredients. Tequila Rose is Strawberry Flavor Cream Liqueur and Tequila and is pink, creamy and tasty. I have made this drink two different ways. In a blender, which makes the drink foamy because of the 7up, and in a tall glass. I got the original recipe from the Tequila Rose web site and improvised it a little bit. If you want to, you can use Club Soda instead of 7Up. I don't know how it tastes with Club Soda though. It is a very refreshing drink.

1/4 cup tequila rose strawberry cream liqueur
1/2 cup strawberry margarita mix
3/4 cup 7-Up soda (or Club Soda)

  • In a Blender: Place all ingredients in a blender.

  • Blend until well blended (about 15-20 seconds).
  • Pour into a tall glass.
  • The drink will be foamy when made this way.
  • In a glass: Pour the 7up (or Club Soda) into the glass first to prevent the drink from foaming.
  • Add the Tequila Rose and Margarita Mix and mix well.
  • If you want a stronger drink, add the tequila and stir until well mixed.
  • Garnish with a strawberry if you want to.
  • Now sit back and relax and enjoy your drink.

ROSé ALL DAY COCKTAIL RECIPE BY TASTY

Categories     Drinks

Yield 1 serving

Number Of Ingredients 9

crushed ice
4 cups ice cube
1 oz honey
1 oz fresh grapefruit juice, or orange juice
1 oz dry vermouth
2 oz rosé wine
1 half grapefruit, or orange peel
fresh thyme sprig, for garnish
seltzer, for topping

Steps:

  • Make the crushed ice: Add 2 cups (280 G) of ice to a food processor. Pulse 6-8 times, until the ice is uniformly crushed. Transfer to a large zip-top freezer bag. Repeat with the remaining 2 cups of ice.
  • Store the bag in the freezer and use the ice for cocktails or smoothies. If the ice has clumped together, gently drop it on the counter a few times to break it up.
  • Make the cocktail: In a small glass or measuring cup, use a chopstick or bar spoon to stir together the honey, grapefruit juice, and vermouth until the honey is dissolved. Add the rosé and stir briefly.
  • Pack a large wine glass with crushed ice. Pour in the rosé mixture. Slide in the grapefruit wheel. Place the thyme sprigs on your palm and slap your other hand on top. (This releases the oils in the thyme.) Slide the thyme into the cocktail. Top with seltzer and serve.
  • Enjoy!

Tips:

  • Prep in advance: Make the rosemary simple syrup at least 1 day in advance to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Chill your glasses: For the best experience, chill your coupe glasses beforehand. This will help the cocktail stay cold and refreshing.
  • Use fresh ingredients: Where possible, use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. This includes the rosemary, lime, and orange.
  • Adjust the sweetness to your taste: The amount of rosemary simple syrup you add can be adjusted to your taste preference. If you like a sweeter drink, add more syrup, if you prefer a tarter drink, use less.
  • Garnish with a rosemary sprig: For a finishing touch, garnish your cocktail with a sprig of fresh rosemary. This will add a touch of color and a hint of herbal flavor.

Conclusion:

The Rose-a-Rita cocktail is a refreshing and flavorful drink, perfect for any occasion. With its tart and tangy flavor profile, it's a great choice for those who enjoy a well-balanced cocktail. The addition of rosemary simple syrup adds a unique herbal flavor that sets this cocktail apart from the classic margarita. Whether you're enjoying it at a party or sipping it at home, the Rose-a-Rita is sure to be a hit. So, gather your ingredients, mix up a batch, and enjoy this delicious cocktail!
