Provided by Martha Stewart

Categories     Food & Cooking     Drink Recipes

Yield Makes 2 quarts

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 cups blueberries
2 cups blackberries
2 cups hulled strawberries
2 cups mixed red and golden raspberries
1 tablespoon superfine sugar
5 ounces Framboise, or other raspberry liqueur
1 bottle chilled rose wine
1 1/3 cups white cranberry juice

Steps:

  • In a pitcher, combine fruit. Stir in sugar. Add Framboise; let sit at least 1 hour. Stir in wine and juice. Serve chilled.

Tips:

  • Prep your fruit in advance: Sliced fruit can be stored in airtight containers in the fridge for a day or overnight, or frozen for up to a week. Cut fruit can be marinated for up to 2 hours before adding to the sangria.
  • Choose ripe, juicy fruit: This will ensure the sangria is flavorful and refreshing.
  • Use a variety of fruit: To create a balanced and flavorful sangria, use a variety of fruits with different flavors and textures.
  • Experiment with different wines: You can use any type of wine to make sangria, so feel free to experiment until you find your favorite combination.
  • Use a fruity rosé wine: Fruity rosé wines like Zinfandel or Grenache are perfect for sangria because they're light and refreshing.
  • Add a splash of brandy or rum: If you want to add a little extra flavor to your sangria, try adding a splash of brandy or rum.
  • Make it ahead of time: Sangria tastes even better after it has had time to sit for a few hours or overnight. So if you're planning a party, make the sangria ahead of time and keep it in the fridge until you're ready to serve.
  • Serve sangria chilled: For the best flavor, serve sangria chilled. You can either chill the sangria in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight, or you can serve it over ice.

Conclusion:

Rose sangria is a refreshing and delicious summer drink that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own personal taste. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a delicious sangria that will wow your friends and family.
