6 cups blueberries, rinsed and lightly dried
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 cup sugar
Pinch salt
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3/4 cup chopped pecans
1/2 stick room temperature unsalted butter, cubed
Whipped cream, for topping
Ice cream, for topping

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Toss blueberries, cornstarch, sugar and a pinch of salt together in a bowl.
  • Combine flour, oats, brown and white sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and pecans in a bowl. Add butter and pinch into chunks. Mix until it looks crumbly.

1 tablespoon butter, softened, for buttering the dish
4 pounds nectarines, sliced
1 quart blueberries
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 heaping tablespoons cornstarch
Pinch kosher salt
1 orange, zested and juiced (reserve the zest for the topping)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup oats
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
Pinch kosher salt
2 sticks cold salted butter
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 pint heavy cream
1 tablespoon granulated sugar

Steps:

  • For the filling: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter a 9-by-13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, combine the nectarines and blueberries. Add the granulated sugar, cornstarch, salt and orange juice and mix gently. Pour the fruit mixture into the prepared baking dish.
