Tips:

  • For a richer caramel flavor, use a combination of light brown sugar and granulated sugar.
  • To prevent the caramel from crystallizing, add a pinch of salt and stir constantly while cooking.
  • If you don't have a candy thermometer, you can check the doneness of the caramel by dropping a small amount into a cup of cold water. If it forms a soft ball, it's ready.
  • For a gooey cheesecake filling, use full-fat cream cheese and sour cream.
  • To ensure the cheesecake bakes evenly, place it in a water bath.
  • For a crispy topping, use a combination of oats, flour, butter, and brown sugar.
  • To prevent the topping from burning, bake it at a lower temperature for a longer period of time.
  • Let the cheesecake cool completely before serving. This will help it set properly.

Conclusion:

Salted caramel apple cheesecake crisp is a delicious and decadent dessert that is perfect for any occasion. The combination of sweet and salty flavors, the creamy cheesecake filling, and the crispy topping make this dish a surefire hit.
