SALTED NUT ROLL BARS
These bars are easy to make and everyone loves them! I usually make them for the holidays and set them out as part of a dessert/cookie plate. They work well cut into 1-inch squares. Real butter is the key to the rich flavor. These will also keep in the freezer for up to 3 weeks.

One of the yummiest candy recipes from my mom's collection. I like it with pecans, but it was meant for cashews or peanuts. I'm guessing any salted nut would be fabulous!

Tips:
- Mise en place: Before you start baking, measure and gather all your ingredients and equipment. This will help you stay organized and ensure that you don't miss anything important.
- Use high-quality ingredients: The better the quality of your ingredients, the better your Salted Nut Roll will taste. Look for fresh nuts, good-quality butter, and pure vanilla extract.
- Chill the dough before rolling it out: This will help prevent the dough from becoming too sticky and difficult to work with.
- Roll the dough out evenly: Use a rolling pin to roll the dough out into a thin, even layer. This will help ensure that the Salted Nut Roll bakes evenly.
- Spread the filling evenly over the dough: Don't pile the filling too high, or it will be difficult to roll the dough up. Spread it out evenly so that it is about 1/4-inch thick.
- Roll the dough up tightly: Start from one long edge of the dough and roll it up tightly. Pinch the edges together to seal the roll.
- Chill the roll before baking: This will help the roll hold its shape while it bakes.
- Bake the roll until it is golden brown: Keep an eye on the roll while it bakes, and remove it from the oven as soon as it is golden brown. If you overbake it, the roll will be dry and crumbly.
- Let the roll cool before slicing: This will help prevent the roll from falling apart.
