Tips:

  • Choose the right fish: Choose a firm-fleshed fish that will hold up well to baking. Some good options include salmon, tilapia, cod, and halibut.
  • Season the fish liberally: Don't be afraid to use plenty of herbs, spices, and citrus to flavor the fish. This will help to create a delicious and flavorful dish.
  • Use a flavorful marinade: Marinating the fish before baking will help to infuse it with even more flavor. You can use a variety of marinades, such as a citrus-herb marinade, a soy-ginger marinade, or a spicy chili marinade.
  • Cook the fish until it is cooked through: The best way to tell if the fish is cooked through is to insert a fork into the thickest part of the fish. If the fork comes out easily, the fish is cooked through.
  • Serve the fish with your favorite sides: Salvadoran baked fish can be served with a variety of sides, such as rice, beans, vegetables, or salad.
