Number Of Ingredients 7

2 cups Honey-Nut Cheerios
2 cups chow mein noodles
1 cup honey-roasted peanuts
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup holiday milk chocolate M&M's
1/2 cup peanut butter chips
1/2 cup vanilla or white chips

Steps:

  • In two wide-mouth quart jars, layer all of the ingredients. Cover jars. Decorate with fabric and ribbon. To serve, pour into a bowl and stir to combine.

Great mix for parties and gifts, or just to have around for snacks. Let your kids make this for Santa on Christmas eve.

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 1/2 cups pretzel sticks, broken into small pieces
5 cups Crispix cereal
2 1/2 cups Cheerios toasted oat cereal
2 1/2 cups dry roasted peanuts
1 lb white chocolate
1 (14 -21 ounce) bag of holiday M&M's plain chocolate candy

Steps:

  • Melt margarine; add salt, garlic salt, and Worcestershire sauce, mix well.
  • Mix first 5 ingredients in a large roaster or cookie sheet.
  • Pour the wet mixture over the dry slowly to coat each piece.
  • Bake at 250°F for 2 hours, stirring every few minutes.
  • This keeps well in airtight container.
  • To give as gifts give in tins, jars, or coffee cans covered in gift wrap.

I found this recipe in Southern Living magazine. I have not tried this recipe, but I'm posting it for safe keeping.

Number Of Ingredients 8

4 cups toasted oat bran (cereal)
1 cup multi grain cluster cereal
1 cup chopped pecans
1 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup honey
1/2 cup butter
1 cup jumbo red raisins

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 250.
  • Combine cereals, pecans, allspice, and salt in a large bowl. Cook honey and butter in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until blended and smooth. Pour honey mixture over cereal mixture, stirring to coat.
  • Spread in a single layer on a lightly greased aluminum foil-lined jelly-roll pan. Bake 55 minutes, stirring once every 10-15 minutes. Stir in jumbo red raisins, and bake 5 more minutes. Spread immediately on wax paper; cool 20 minutes.
  • Store in an airtight container up to 1 week.
  • Note: For testing purposes only, Quaker Oat Bran for toasted oat bran cereal and Kashi Golean Crunch for multigrain cluster cereal was used.
