Tips:

  • Use a variety of sausages to create a more complex flavor profile. Try using a combination of sweet and spicy sausages, or even a smoked sausage for a richer flavor.
  • Don't overcook the sausages. Overcooked sausages will be dry and crumbly, and will not have as much flavor.
  • Use a good quality barbecue sauce. The barbecue sauce is the key to the flavor of sloppy joes, so make sure to use a sauce that you enjoy.
  • Add some extra vegetables to the sloppy joes for a healthier meal. Try adding some chopped bell peppers, onions, or carrots.
  • Serve the sloppy joes on a toasted bun. This will help to keep the sloppy joes from getting soggy.
