Tips:

  • Choose fresh and colorful vegetables: Look for vegetables that are brightly colored and free from blemishes. Fresh vegetables will have a better flavor and texture.
  • Cut the vegetables evenly: This will help them cook evenly. If you are using a variety of vegetables, cut them into similar-sized pieces.
  • Use a large skillet or wok: This will give the vegetables plenty of room to cook without overcrowding.
  • Heat the skillet or wok over high heat: This will help to sear the vegetables and give them a nice color.
  • Add the vegetables to the skillet or wok in batches: This will prevent them from overcrowding and steaming instead of sautéing.
  • Stir the vegetables frequently: This will help them cook evenly and prevent them from sticking.
  • Season the vegetables with salt and pepper to taste: You can also add other seasonings, such as garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika.
  • Cook the vegetables until they are tender-crisp: This will take about 5-7 minutes, depending on the type of vegetables you are using.
  • Serve the vegetables immediately: Sautéed vegetables are best served hot. You can garnish them with fresh herbs, such as parsley or cilantro.

Sautéed vegetables are a quick and easy way to get your daily dose of vegetables. They are also a versatile dish that can be served as a side dish, main course, or appetizer. With a little planning, you can create a delicious and healthy sautéed vegetable dish that the whole family will enjoy.
