Tips:

  • Choose a fresh or thawed turkey breast: Frozen turkey breasts can take longer to cook and may not cook evenly.
  • Season the turkey breast generously: Use a combination of herbs, spices, and salt and pepper to flavor the turkey. You can also use a store-bought turkey seasoning mix.
  • Sear the turkey breast before cooking: Searing the turkey breast in a hot skillet will help to brown the skin and seal in the juices.
  • Use a slow cooker liner: A slow cooker liner will make cleanup a breeze. You can also use a disposable aluminum foil pan.
  • Add vegetables to the slow cooker: Vegetables such as carrots, celery, and onions will add flavor to the turkey breast and make a delicious gravy.
  • Cook the turkey breast on low for 8-10 hours: This will ensure that the turkey breast is cooked through and tender.
  • Let the turkey breast rest before carving: Let the turkey breast rest for 10-15 minutes before carving. This will help the juices redistribute throughout the meat.

Conclusion:

Cooking a turkey breast in a slow cooker is a great way to get a moist and flavorful turkey without having to heat up the oven. This recipe is easy to follow and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. You can also add your favorite vegetables to the slow cooker for a complete meal.
