Tips:
- Choose a fresh or thawed turkey breast: Frozen turkey breasts can take longer to cook and may not cook evenly.
- Season the turkey breast generously: Use a combination of herbs, spices, and salt and pepper to flavor the turkey. You can also use a store-bought turkey seasoning mix.
- Sear the turkey breast before cooking: Searing the turkey breast in a hot skillet will help to brown the skin and seal in the juices.
- Use a slow cooker liner: A slow cooker liner will make cleanup a breeze. You can also use a disposable aluminum foil pan.
- Add vegetables to the slow cooker: Vegetables such as carrots, celery, and onions will add flavor to the turkey breast and make a delicious gravy.
- Cook the turkey breast on low for 8-10 hours: This will ensure that the turkey breast is cooked through and tender.
- Let the turkey breast rest before carving: Let the turkey breast rest for 10-15 minutes before carving. This will help the juices redistribute throughout the meat.
