Provided by PalatablePastime

Categories     Punch Beverage

Time 5m

Yield 24 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (12 ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
orange food coloring (or red/yellow to equal)
1 (2 liter) bottle ginger ale, chilled
1 1/2 quarts Orange sherbet

Steps:

  • Mix together sweetened condensed milk and thawed orange juice concentrate in your punchbowl.
  • Tint with orange food coloring, if desired, or place a drop of red and slightly more yellow than red as a substitution; stir to blend.
  • Add the chilled ginger ale and stir gently.
  • Top with scoops of sherbet, and serve immediately.

Tips:

  • Choose the right sherbet: Not all sherbets are created equal. For the best results, choose a sherbet that is smooth and creamy, with a strong flavor. Avoid sherbets that are icy or grainy.
  • Use fresh fruit: Fresh fruit will give your punch a bright, vibrant flavor. If you're using frozen fruit, be sure to thaw it completely before adding it to the punch.
  • Add a splash of citrus: A little bit of citrus juice can help to brighten up the flavor of your punch. Lemon, lime, and orange juice are all good choices.
  • Don't oversweeten the punch: Sherbet is already sweet, so you don't need to add a lot of additional sugar. Start with a small amount of sugar and add more to taste.
  • Serve the punch immediately: Sherbet punch is best served immediately after it is made. If you need to store the punch for later, be sure to keep it cold. You may consider freezing it in clean BPA free container.

Conclusion:

Sherbet punch is a refreshing and delicious drink that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be customized to your own taste. With a few simple tips, you can make a sherbet punch that will be the hit of your next party.
