1 medium onion, chopped & saute'd
1 lb bacon, fried and crumbled
1 1/2 c mayonnaise

Tips:

  • Choose the Right Potatoes: Select firm, waxy potatoes like Yukon Gold or Red Potatoes. They hold their shape better during cooking.
  • Cut Potatoes Evenly: Cut potatoes uniformly so they cook evenly. For diced potatoes, aim for 1-inch cubes.
  • Season Generously: Don't be shy with seasonings! Salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika are all great options.
  • Use a Well-Seasoned Cast Iron Skillet: A well-seasoned cast iron skillet will give your potatoes a crispy, golden crust.
  • Don't Crowd the Skillet: Cook the potatoes in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the skillet. This will help them cook evenly.
  • Flip Potatoes Frequently: Use a spatula to gently flip the potatoes during cooking. This will ensure that they cook evenly and get crispy on all sides.
  • Add Butter and Herbs Towards the End: For extra flavor, add a knob of butter and some fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme towards the end of cooking.

Conclusion:

With these tips, you can create the perfect sinful potatoes that are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Serve them as a side dish with your favorite main course, or enjoy them as a snack on their own. No matter how you choose to eat them, these sinful potatoes are sure to be a hit!
