1/2 garlic powder
1 tbs olive oil
3 tbs ketchup

Taste and adjust where needed. Cover fish with sauce and bake for 10 minutes Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes Serve

Tips:

  • Choose the freshest tilapia fillets. Look for fillets that are firm and have a mild, slightly sweet smell. Avoid fillets that are slimy or have a strong fishy odor.
  • Season the tilapia fillets liberally. This will help to enhance the flavor of the fish. You can use a variety of seasonings, such as salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, or chili powder.
  • Sear the tilapia fillets until they are golden brown. This will help to create a crispy crust on the outside of the fish and keep the inside moist and flaky.
  • Use a flavorful sauce. The sauce is what will really make your smothered tilapia dish special. You can use a variety of sauces, such as a tomato-based sauce, a cream-based sauce, or a white wine sauce.
  • Simmer the tilapia fillets in the sauce until they are cooked through. This will allow the flavors of the sauce to penetrate the fish.
  • Serve the smothered tilapia fillets over rice, pasta, or vegetables. This will make a complete and satisfying meal.

Conclusion:

Smothered tilapia is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal.
