Tips:
- To ensure the tilapia fillets cook evenly, make sure they are all of a similar thickness. If necessary, use a sharp knife to trim any uneven edges.
- If you don't have paprika on hand, you can substitute another smoked spice, such as smoked sea salt or chipotle powder.
- To add a bit of heat to the dish, sprinkle some cayenne pepper on top of the tilapia fillets before baking.
- If you are using a convection oven, reduce the baking time by 2-3 minutes.
- To make sure the tilapia is cooked through, insert a fork into the thickest part of a fillet. If the flesh flakes easily, the fish is done.
Conclusion:
Spicy baked tilapia is a quick and easy weeknight meal that is both delicious and healthy. The tilapia fillets are coated in a flavorful mixture of spices and then baked until cooked through. This dish is perfect for those who are looking for a light and healthy meal that is packed with flavor. Serve the tilapia with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables, grilled zucchini, or a simple salad.
