1/2 cup whipping cream
3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon divided
1/4 tsp. grated nutmeg
1 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 cups freshly brewed coffee
4 tsp. chocolate syrup

Steps:

  • 1. In mixing bowl, mix whipping cream, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon , nutmeg, and sugar. Whip til soft peaks form.
  • 2. Put remaining 1/2 tsp. cinnamon in pot of coffee and stir. Pour 1 tsp. chocolate syrup into each of 4 coffee mugs.
  • 3. Pour coffee into mugs and stir in chocolate syrup. Top each mug with spicy whipped cream. Add a shot of rum if you like. Makes 4 servings.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients. This will make a big difference in the flavor of your mocha, especially if you use single-origin coffee beans.
  • Don't over-extract your coffee. Over-extraction can make your mocha bitter. Brew your coffee for the recommended amount of time, or use a shorter brew time if you like your coffee less strong.
  • Use a good quality chocolate. The chocolate you use will have a big impact on the flavor of your mocha. Look for a chocolate with a high cocoa content (at least 70%).
  • Don't be afraid to experiment. There are many different ways to make a mocha. Try adding different flavors, such as vanilla, cinnamon, or nutmeg. You can also use different types of milk, such as oat milk or almond milk.

Conclusion:

The spicy mocha is a delicious and versatile drink that can be enjoyed hot or cold. With a few simple tips, you can make a perfect spicy mocha at home. So next time you're in the mood for a coffee drink with a kick, give the spicy mocha a try.
