One time I accidentally bought hot Italian sausage, but wanted to find a way to use it anyway. I tossed it in the slow cooker with mushrooms, tomatoes and wine, which helped to mellow out the heat. Now I buy the hot stuff on purpose! -Judy Batson, Tampa, Florida

SPICY SAUSAGE PASTA
The kind that can be whipped up in thirty minutes or less from start to finish and only mess up one dish. And of course, they need to knock-my-socks-off with flavor as well! I am so in love with this spicy, creamy, cheesy pasta for all of those reasons. It is just packed with so many incredible flavors. This came from Kevin & Amanda. When I made this recipe I made minor changes to the recipe. I used vegetable oil, mozzarella flavored sausages, half & half, and cheddar cheese. Next time I plan to not use Rotel as this was a bit to spicy for my families taste.

Tips:
- Use a flavorful sausage: Choose a sausage that has a good balance of spices and herbs. Italian sausage is a classic choice, but you could also try chorizo, kielbasa, or even a spicy breakfast sausage.
- Cook the sausage until it's crispy: This will give the pasta a more intense flavor. If you're using a lean sausage, you may need to add a little bit of oil to the pan to prevent it from sticking.
- Use a good quality pasta: Linguine is a great choice for this dish because it holds the sauce well. You could also use spaghetti or penne.
- Don't overcook the pasta: Cook it according to the package directions, or until it's al dente. Overcooked pasta will be mushy and won't hold the sauce as well.
- Use a generous amount of sauce: The sauce is what really makes this dish, so don't be afraid to use a lot of it. You can always add more if needed.
- Garnish with fresh herbs: Fresh basil, oregano, or parsley will add a pop of color and flavor to the dish.
Conclusion:
Spicy sausage linguine is a quick and easy pasta dish that's perfect for a weeknight meal. It's packed with flavor from the spicy sausage, the flavorful sauce, and the fresh herbs. This dish is sure to become a family favorite.
