CAJUN SEAFOOD PASTA

Cajun Seafood Pasta image

This recipe is a hot one, but delicious! If you are weak of tongue, then divide the amounts of peppers in half. Better to add more than spoil your creation! Bay scallops are preferred, but the larger sea scallops can be used if they are cut in half. This dish can also be placed in a casserole dish and placed under the broiler until top turns golden brown!

Tips:

  • Choose fresh, high-quality scallops. Look for plump, opaque scallops with a slightly sweet smell. Avoid any scallops that are slimy or have a strong fishy odor.
  • Properly sear the scallops. Searing the scallops creates a delicious caramelized crust while keeping the inside tender and juicy. Be sure to use a hot skillet and sear the scallops for only 1-2 minutes per side.
  • Use a flavorful sauce. The sauce is what really brings this dish together, so be sure to use a sauce that is packed with flavor. The recipe provided in the article is a good starting point, but you can also experiment with other sauces, such as a creamy Alfredo sauce or a tomato-based sauce.
  • Cook the fettuccine al dente. Al dente pasta is slightly firm to the bite and holds its shape well. This is the perfect texture for this dish, as it will soak up the delicious sauce without becoming mushy.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs. Fresh herbs, such as parsley, basil, or chives, add a pop of color and flavor to the dish. They also help to brighten up the flavors of the scallops and sauce.

Conclusion:

Spicy scallop fettuccine is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a special occasion or a weeknight meal. By following the tips above, you can create a dish that is sure to impress your friends and family.
