SPICY THAI PEANUT SAUCE

This peanut sauce is very flavorful, with lemon, ginger, and quite a bit of heat. It's good with satays, stir-frys, rice bowls, or good as a dip. Don't be afraid to add more or less of the spices, just add to taste! Store in the fridge up to one week.

This Thai peanut noodle dish is a delicious recipe with just the right amount of heat! It's simple to prepare, but requires a bit of organization while assembling/cooking, because it goes quickly. Preparing your ingredients beforehand is key! For vegetarians, you can make this without the chicken and fish sauce and it tastes just as good! Serve hot. You could also garnish this with chopped unsalted peanuts.

SPICY THAI PEANUT NOODLES

Spicy Thai Peanut Noodles image

A lovely spicy, peanuty sauce over spaghetti noodles and vegetables. I really prefer natural peanut butter in this, but that is up to you. Altering the peanut butter and honey can dramatically change this dish, so if you don't like it one way, try it again altering some ingredients.

Tips:

  • Choose the right noodles: Rice noodles are the traditional choice for pad thai, but you can also use other types of noodles, such as ramen noodles or udon noodles.
  • Soak the noodles: Before cooking the noodles, soak them in warm water for about 10 minutes. This will help to soften them and make them more pliable.
  • Use a wok: A wok is the ideal cooking utensil for pad thai, as it allows you to stir-fry the ingredients quickly and evenly.
  • Use fresh ingredients: Fresh vegetables, herbs, and spices will give your pad thai the best flavor.
  • Don't overcrowd the wok: When stir-frying the ingredients, don't overcrowd the wok. This will prevent them from cooking evenly.
  • Add the sauce last: The sauce is the key to pad thai's flavor, so add it last and stir-fry it with the other ingredients for just a few minutes.
  • Serve immediately: Pad thai is best served immediately after it is cooked.

Conclusion:

Pad Thai is a delicious and easy-to-make Thai noodle dish that is perfect for a quick and healthy meal. With a few simple tips, you can make pad thai that is just as good as what you would get at a Thai restaurant. So next time you're looking for a quick and flavorful meal, give pad thai a try.
