THREE BEAN SLOW BURN CHILI

Three Bean Slow Burn Chili image

I threw this together on a cold day when I was itching for some chili. The spice measurements are approximate. I start out with 1/8 cup and go from there. It cooks up fast and gets better when stored in the fridge and reheated. Top with shredded cheese and a dollop of sour cream, if desired. Enjoy!

  • Canned beans are a convenient and time-saving ingredient for chili. They are already cooked, so they just need to be heated through.
  • You can use any type of beans you like in chili. Some popular choices include kidney beans, black beans, pinto beans, and Great Northern beans.
  • If you don't have canned beans, you can use dried beans instead. Just be sure to soak them overnight and cook them according to the package directions before adding them to the chili.
  • Brown the meat before adding it to the chili. This will help to develop the flavor and give the chili a richer taste.
  • Add a variety of spices and seasonings to the chili to give it flavor. Some popular choices include chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, and oregano.
  • Simmer the chili for at least 30 minutes, or longer if you have time. This will help to develop the flavors and allow the ingredients to meld together.
