Tips:

  • For the best results, use fresh tortillas that are no more than a day old. Stale tortillas will not crisp up as well.
  • If you don't have a tortilla press, you can use a rolling pin to flatten the tortillas. Just be sure to roll them out evenly so that they are all the same thickness.
  • When cutting the tortillas into wedges, make sure to cut them all the same size so that they cook evenly.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan when frying the tortilla chips. If you do, they will not crisp up properly.
  • Be careful not to overcook the tortilla chips. They should be golden brown and crispy, but not burned.
  • Season the tortilla chips with salt and your favorite spices while they are still warm. This will help the spices stick to the chips.
  • Store the tortilla chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.

Conclusion:

Spicy tortilla chips are a delicious and easy snack that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are perfect for parties, potlucks, or just a quick snack.
