Tips:
- Use high-quality popcorn kernels. Fresh, non-GMO kernels will produce the best-tasting popcorn.
- Choose your oil wisely. Coconut oil or avocado oil will give your popcorn a light, neutral flavor, while olive oil or butter will add a richer flavor.
- Don't overcrowd the pot. Add just enough kernels to cover the bottom of the pot in a single layer. Overcrowding will result in unevenly popped popcorn.
- Keep the pot covered. This will help the popcorn pop more evenly and prevent it from burning.
- Shake the pot frequently. This will help to distribute the heat evenly and prevent the popcorn from burning.
- Listen for the popping to slow down. Once the popping slows down to a few seconds between pops, remove the pot from the heat.
- Season to taste. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, or other seasonings to taste.
