STEVIA CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Stevia Chocolate Chip Cookies image

I got this recipe from Stevia Sweet Recipes By Jeffrey Goettemoeller. He recommended using carob chips, but I think I'll stick with regular chocolate chips, besides probably omitting the sesame seeds. However, it looks like a great recipe, and I look forward to trying it.

Categories     Trusted Brands: Recipes and Tips     Truvia®

Yield 30

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 ⅛ cups flour
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ cup butter, softened
¼ cup Truvia® Baking Blend, plus
2 tablespoons Truvia® Baking Blend
½ teaspoon vanilla
1 large egg
1 cup chocolate chips
½ tablespoon molasses (see note)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Combine flour, salt and baking soda in a small bowl.
  • Beat butter, Truvia® Baking Blend and vanilla (and optional molasses) in a separate large mixing bowl. Mix in egg.
  • Gradually stir in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons on cookie sheets and press down to slightly flatten.
  • Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until lightly browned.

Tips:

  • Use a combination of granulated and brown sugar. This will give your cookies a chewy texture and a rich flavor.
  • Chill the dough before baking. This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the cookies tough.
  • Bake the cookies until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set. Overbaking will make the cookies dry and crumbly.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before storing them. This will help them keep their shape and flavor.

Conclusion:

These stevia chocolate chip cookies are a delicious and healthy alternative to traditional chocolate chip cookies. They are made with all-natural ingredients and are sweetened with stevia, a natural sweetener that is much lower in calories than sugar. These cookies are also gluten-free and grain-free, making them a great option for people with food allergies or sensitivities. Whether you are looking for a healthier way to satisfy your sweet tooth or you are looking for a special treat to share with friends and family, these stevia chocolate chip cookies are sure to be a hit.
