Tips:
- Use fresh strawberries: Fresh strawberries provide the best flavor and texture for this dish. If you can't find fresh strawberries, you can use frozen strawberries that have been thawed and drained.
- Slice the strawberries evenly: This will help them cook evenly in the bake.
- Use a good quality bread: A thick, sturdy bread will hold up well in the bake and absorb the egg mixture without getting soggy.
- Don't overmix the egg mixture: Overmixing can make the French toast tough.
- Cook the French toast bake until it is golden brown and cooked through: The center of the bake should reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Serve the French toast bake immediately: This dish is best served warm and fresh out of the oven.
