Tips:
- Use fresh ingredients: High-quality ingredients, especially fresh sunflower seeds and wheat flour, will result in the best-tasting bread.
- Measure your ingredients accurately: Baking is a science, and precise measurements are crucial for success. Use a kitchen scale to weigh your ingredients for the most accurate results.
- Activate your yeast: Before adding the yeast to the dough, proof it in warm water with a little sugar. This will ensure that the yeast is active and will help the bread rise properly.
- Knead the dough properly: Kneading the dough develops the gluten, which gives the bread its structure and elasticity. Knead the dough for at least 5 minutes, or until it is smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place: The dough needs time to rise in order to develop its flavor and texture. Place the dough in a warm place, such as a turned-off oven with a bowl of hot water, for about an hour, or until it has doubled in size.
- Bake the bread at a high temperature: Baking the bread at a high temperature will give it a crispy crust and a fluffy interior. Bake the bread at 400°F for about 30 minutes, or until it is golden brown.
- Let the bread cool before slicing: Slicing the bread while it is still hot will cause it to crumble. Let the bread cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing it.
