MAKE-AHEAD BREAKFAST BARS

Make-Ahead Breakfast Bars image

I like to make a batch of these and then cut them and wrap single servings in foil to have handy in the freezer for the week. Much cheaper than the freezer breakfasts from the store and you can basically add/substitute whatever ingredients you want or have handy.

Tips:

  • Use ripe bananas: Overripe bananas are sweeter and have a richer flavor, making them ideal for breakfast bars.
  • Mash the bananas well: This will help the bars bind together and prevent them from becoming crumbly.
  • Add your favorite mix-ins: Nuts, seeds, dried fruit, and chocolate chips are all great additions to breakfast bars.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing can make the bars tough and dry.
  • Bake the bars until they are golden brown: This will ensure that they are cooked through.
  • Let the bars cool completely before cutting them: This will help them hold their shape.

Conclusion:

Sunmaid breakfast bars are a delicious and nutritious way to start your day. They are easy to make and can be customized to your liking.
