NO-COOK PIZZA SAUCE

Time 25m

Yield Makes 2 cups

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 clove garlic, peeled
1 can (28 ounces) whole peeled tomatoes in juice
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
Kosher salt

Steps:

  • Pulse garlic in a food processor until finely chopped. Thoroughly drain tomatoes in a mesh sieve; discard juices. Transfer to processor, add oil and 3/4 teaspoon salt, and pulse until tomatoes break down into a slightly chunky sauce, 12 to 15 times. Sauce can be refrigerated in an airtight container up to 5 days, or frozen up to 3 months.

Tips:

  • For a sweeter sauce, use ripe tomatoes. Roma tomatoes are a good option, as they have a low moisture content.
  • If you like a chunkier sauce, dice the tomatoes instead of pureeing them.
  • Add some garlic powder or fresh garlic to the sauce for extra flavor.
  • If you want a spicier sauce, add some red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper.
  • For a more herbaceous sauce, add some fresh basil or oregano.
  • Feel free to experiment with different ingredients to create your own unique sauce.

Conclusion:

This no-cook pizza sauce is a quick and easy way to add flavor to your favorite pizza. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a delicious sauce that is perfect for any type of pizza. So next time you're in the mood for pizza, give this no-cook sauce a try. You won't be disappointed!
