1 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips, or more to taste

SUPER MOIST BUNDT CAKE

This is such an easy cake but it tastes fabulous. No one ever guesses that it comes from a cake mix and I get asked for the recipe all the time. It's from one of my church cookbooks again!

Time 50m

Yield 10-12 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 package cake mix
1 package instant pudding mix
4 eggs
3/4 cup orange juice
1/2 applesauce or 1/2 vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Choose a golden, white, lemon, or chocolate cake mix and a"corresponding" pudding (lemon or vanilla with the yellow cake mixes, chocolate with the chocolate cake mix) Mix all the ingredients together on low until mixed, then on medium high speed for 2 minutes.
  • Pour batter into greased bundt pan (or 2 round 8 inch cake pans) and bake for 45-50 minutes at 350 F.
  • Serve with whipped cream, cool whip, or ice cream and fresh berries.

Tips:

  • Prepare ingredients correctly: Properly measure and sift dry ingredients for accurate mixing. Soften butter and bring eggs to room temperature for even blending.
  • Cream butter and sugar thoroughly: This step incorporates air and creates a light and fluffy texture. Cream until the mixture is pale and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time: Gradually incorporate eggs to prevent curdling. Beat well after each addition.
  • Mix dry and wet ingredients alternately: Start and end with dry ingredients to ensure even distribution. Mix until just combined, overmixing can result in a tough cake.
  • Use buttermilk for extra moisture: Buttermilk adds a tangy flavor and helps keep the cake moist. If you don't have buttermilk, you can make your own by adding 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar to 1 cup of regular milk and letting it sit for 5 minutes.
  • Bake the cake at the right temperature: The ideal oven temperature for baking a bundt cake is 350°F (175°C). A lower temperature can result in a dense cake, while a higher temperature can cause the cake to overcook.
  • Cool the cake completely before frosting: Allow the cake to cool completely on a wire rack before frosting. This will prevent the frosting from melting and running off the cake.

Conclusion:

With careful preparation, precise measurements, and attention to detail, you can create a super moist bundt cake that is sure to impress. Experiment with different flavors and frostings to find your perfect combination. Remember, practice makes perfect, so don't be discouraged if your first attempt is not flawless. Keep baking, keep learning, and keep enjoying the delicious results!
