Tips for Making Superb Fudge Nut Bars:
- Use a heavy-bottomed saucepan: This will help to prevent the mixture from scorching.
- Stir the mixture constantly: This will help to ensure that the mixture cooks evenly and does not burn.
- Do not overcook the mixture: The mixture should be cooked until it reaches a soft-ball stage, which means that it will form a soft ball when dropped into cold water.
- Let the mixture cool slightly before adding the nuts: This will help to prevent the nuts from burning.
- Press the mixture firmly into the pan: This will help to ensure that the bars hold together well.
- Chill the bars before cutting them: This will help to make them easier to cut and will also help to prevent them from crumbling.
